Grand Canyon South Rim & Antelope Canyon Lower Tour Review from Las Vegas

If you're in Las Vegas, a must-do tour is definitely the Grand Canyon! I took a day trip that started early in the morning, visiting Grand Canyon South Rim, Route 66, Hoover Dam, and Antelope Canyon Lower all in one tour.

🌌 Stars Seen at Dawn – Truly a Movie-like Moment

We left around 4 or 5 AM, and after a long drive, the guide stopped the car at a spot where we could see the stars perfectly. Seeing the sky full of stars was something I'll never forget. I took some photos, but seeing it in person was far more moving.

πŸͺ¨ Grand Canyon – The Majesty Beyond Words

When we arrived at Grand Canyon South Rim, it was so much more grand and awe-inspiring than the pictures! The scale and depth of the canyon are something you need to experience in person. I loved the time spent walking and taking in the scenery, and the clear weather made the view even more breathtaking.

🧭 Route 66 – Classic American Vibe

We stopped at the Seligman town on Route 66, which is also famous as the setting for the movie 'Cars'. The retro signs and atmosphere gave off a truly American vibe, making it the perfect spot for a memorable photo!

🏜️ Antelope Canyon Lower – The Canyon of Light

The sunlight shining through the canyon walls was indescribable! It's a photographer's paradise, and every angle was an Insta-worthy shot πŸ“Έ

One memorable story the guide told us was about the occasional appearance of “spirit photos” taken at this spot. These photos, with ghostly figures, were once sold for a high price. It was a mix of serious and playful talk, but after hearing it, I couldn't help but examine my photos closely to see if a ghostly friend had snuck into the frame πŸ˜†

🍭 Bug Candy? Anyone Want to Try?

At a souvenir shop, I saw actual bug candy, and at first, I thought it was a joke... But people really eat them! I didn't try it myself, but if you're feeling adventurous, it could be a unique experience! πŸ˜…

πŸ’‘ Travel Tips

  • Restrooms are a must at the rest stops! The journey is long, and since you’ll be going deeper into nature, make sure to use the restroom when you can.
  • Essentials to bring: Comfortable sneakers πŸ‘Ÿ, a hat 🧒, sunscreen, cool sleeves ☀️, plenty of water πŸ₯€, and a bug repellent bracelet.
  • Antelope Canyon Tip: No tripods allowed → try using your smartphone's 'Live Photo' or 'Burst Mode'! Be ready to walk on uneven ground → sneakers are a must!
  • Book during the best lighting times for the best photos!
